In 2000 a number of concerned locals got together and formed a committee set up to renovate Rathangan Hall, which at the time was in a state of disrepair.
This voluntary committee put an enormous amount of work into securing grant aid from various bodies to refurbish and rejuvenate the hall turning it into the valuable community asset that it is today. Rathangan Hall is situated adjacent to St. Anne’s GAA pitch, 100 yards up from the local national school and church.

Facilities
Rathangan Hall is a large, spacious community venue which has modern facilities and hosts a wide variety of activities weekly.
Car Park
Parking is never an issue when coming to Rathangan Hall, as we have a spacious well lit car park, with disabled parking spaces directly outside the main hall door.
Kitchen
We all know that you can’t have an event or a get together without a cuppa! So here in Rathangan Hall we have a modern fitted kitchen which includes a cooker, fridge and dishwasher. There is also a burko, teapots, and an ample supply of delph and cutlery provided for use.
Meeting Room
Just inside the main door we have a meeting room which is available to hire for smaller group meetings, classes etc. It also has central heating.
Upstairs Room
We have a room upstairs that is also available to hire. To date it has mainly been used as a dressing room by the groups and clubs who have put on shows in the hall and the mother toddler group also use this room for their weekly meetings, in the future we hope to make greater use of this room as it will be the base for the youth club.
Office
The Committee work very closely with the Cleariestown CE scheme to maintain two Fás Places in the office. The administrators of the office produce the Parish Newsletter, forward the Local Notes to the weekly newspapers, look after all the administration for the hall and maintain both our website http://www.rathanganhall.com and facebook page http://www.facebook.com/rathanganhall .
The main objective of Rathangan Hall is to to deliver a service to the community. Currently the staff in the office are helping locals by offering one to one computer training, which is all done in a very relaxed manner and environment, C.V updating, photocoping, printing, photograph enhancements, confidential help with applications and forms.
Many activities take place in Rathangan Hall each week: Parent & Toddler Group, Arts & Crafts, Tae-kwon-do, Keep Fit / Aerobics, Drama / Dance, and Irish Dancing.Also the local underage sports groups avail of the facilities for their indoor training sessions. Rathangan Hall is also a very popular local venue for holding a child’s birthday party.
Rathangan Hall
