
Rathangan Senior Citizens Housing Association Limited was incorporated as a company limited by guarantee in December 2002. The company was formed by members of the local community with a view to acquiring the former parish priest’s house and grounds with a view to providing social housing for the elderly members of the community.
The company adopted the standard memorandum and articles of association provided by the Irish Council for Social Housing and it’s stated object is:
- To carry on for the benefit of the community the provision of housing and associated amenities for persons in deprived or necessitous circumstances.
- To provide for relief of poverty and deprivation caused by poor housing conditions and homelessness or other social and economic circumstances.

Willie is a retired teacher He was the originator of the project and is deeply interested in social and community affairs.
Brian O’Driscoll
Brian is a qualifed architect and has been responsible for liasing with the National Building Agency and Wexford County Council during the planning process.
Catherine Sinnott
Catherine is a qualified accountant and currently employed with a Big 4 practice. She has been responsible for the company’s corporate compliance todate.
The other members of the board are active members of the community with various skill sets which they bring to the project.
